More Green & Clean Lifestyle activities with GLIN

Now that spring is here and we spend more time outside and the GLIN bee (me) is getting busier (which I love) I would like to give more insight of a few happenings from the last weeks. End of March, I attended a lovely workshop organized by the inspiring green minded Shanon in Amsterdam, where she shared body basics recipes together with the lovely, enthusiast Adrienne who showed us how to make simple cream deo. What I really loved on the workshop is the energy that was created by the open minded attendees who were ready to take the green challenge and transform their everyday habits to a healthier one. What was also unique that these two green minded ladies were really open when it turned out that we share a common vision on Green & Clean lifestyle together. I was honored to add a bit more spice with the lovely essential oils of mine and give extra information for specific life situations, like being pregnant or having small kids when it comes to use natural body products. All in all, I am sure that we will keep contact with these conscious ladies and you will hear more about  our future collaboration in order to deliver more value to you. Keep an eye on the Green & Clean Lifestyle Stories in the future, we will share more updates there. Easter was a great time for us as a family and also for GLIN. I was blessed to be part of the Intouch Expats Easter Party where we were playing with natural soap-clay with the kids. I love to play...
Weekend Round Up: Easter Egg Surprise Workshop , Haarlem

Weekend Round Up: Easter Egg Surprise Workshop , Haarlem

Hello Glinies, Here we are again. Back to the old habit of sharing all the latest news around GLIN so you can stay up to date about all the happenings with GLIN and also you can have a look & feel why it is so super to be Green & Clean. In the last weeks I found two new inspiring partners. First, The Creativity Project Atelier in Amsterdam. Yeah. We are back in town. I love the space because it is really creative. You can get messy with paint there and feel real freedom while you are getting free from stress. Perfect combination. So as of 22.03. GLIN is back to Amsterdam. We will make natural soaps and eco friendly washing detergent next Sunday. I hope I will see you there. For more upcoming GLIN Workshops in Amsterdam , please check the webshop. The other great connection which I started last week is a collaboration with ExpatsHaarlem. This organization is a great place for expats( and for dutchies as well). They organize tons of interesting get togethers in and around Haarlem for families . Last month I already launched the first article on their website. I had also the first children workshop with that community last Saturday. Our theme was : Easter Egg Surprise Making. We had a nice big room in the Appel Brasserie in a separated area but joint with a playing area for kids. Lovely. Really. You should go and check it here. So we spent an hour with the kids (age around 4) together and discovered the endless fun with natural soap clay. We used...
Weekend Round Up: Workshops with children Rotterdam, Almere

Weekend Round Up: Workshops with children Rotterdam, Almere

Weekend Round Up: Workshops with children Hello Glinies, Last week I spent most of my `working time` with children. First on Thursday in Rotterdam and on Saturday in Almere. I adore them for a lot of things: -for their imagination -for their patience -for their humor -for their concentration -for their enthusiasm I had a little pirate with the idea of making a snowman with 6 arms growing out of his head. He enjoyed to make it and explained us how useful it is to have 6 arms. I had a two year old boy who said NO to everybody and for everything but he kept on playing with the natural play dough for about 30 minutes or more. What a patience and concentration at his age ! I also had the luck to be surrounded with 3 older girls (age 6-7) and they kept coming back and making all kinds of creations from Christmas ornaments , through fruit baskets, to worms and pearls with a lot of giggle. This week we will be all Christmassy at GLIN. On Wednesday I will have the first Christmas Present Making Workshop with organic, natural ingredients on a new location by Soul Essentials in Almere. On Saturday, we will make Christmas Presents at Joan Organics in Castricum. On Sunday, the Christmas Present Making Workshop will be at HAL72 in Alkmaar and later on that day I will join the Open Day at byMirjam in Uitgeest to give mini workshops. Also I will bring limited edition of GLIN products, ready to give them as Christmas presents. If you happen to be around one...
GLI:N Weekend Round Up: Spread the green love in Rotterdam and Almere

GLI:N Weekend Round Up: Spread the green love in Rotterdam and Almere

Hello Glinies, After the fantastic 5 new upcoming projects with local stitching`s in North Holland on Tuesday , I had another great event to spread the green & clean love in Rotterdam. This time, I was a guest of the Mama Meet Up. Due to interest of the mothers, GLI:N will return to the event regularly and give support to the green minded mothers personally. Also, from time to time, the children will be entertained by GLI:N activities with natural materials, such as soap clay, natural clay and so on. If you happen to live around Rotterdam and you want to be part of the GLI:N fun, check out the GLI:N Agenda for the upcoming events or follow GLI:N on Facebook, where you will find the latest news about this collaboration. Sunday morning, I had the pleasure to introduce the natural soap making process to a lady who has a green spirit. It was just so natural to spend the morning with her, thanks to our common interest in soul & nature.   The proud Natural Soap Maker   I spent the afternoon with 3 super mums, who are really concerned about their family`s health.   Having children means not only love and fun but also responsibilities and care. I introduced the green washing habits, rules and tricks. It was nice to see how enthusiastic they were and they were ready to implement new ideas in their daily washing routine. I am curious to hear their experiences with the eco friendly cleaning detergent that they prepared based on the GLI:N recipes. If you are interested to join an upcoming...
GLI:N in the `Beursvloerijmondnoord` Uitgeest

GLI:N in the `Beursvloerijmondnoord` Uitgeest

Hello GLINIES, How do you like the new webpage? Did you already find the short GLI:N video on the website? Do not forget, you will be able to reserve your GLI:N Workshop spot via the Webshop as of now. Easy peasy Yesterday, I went to a special occasion. It was called: beursvloerijmondnoord. It started 4 years ago, when local people from Heemserk, Ijmond and Uitgeest decided to create a special platform for stitching and local business owners to support each other. So beursvloerijmondnoord was born. Yesterday I went there, to look around and see how GLI:N can benefit from such a special local initiation. GLI:N is looking for people who want to join to a `green & clean lifestyle`. I am open for all kinds of collaboration ideas where GLI:N can meet with those people. As an expat myself, just recently moved to the country, starting a new business, what else is more interesting than networking with the right people at the right place? Yesterday it was : beursvloerijmondnoord. It was a real beurs. When the gong went on, we had 2 hours to introduce our companies to the representatives of the local stitching. They were holding funny little boards with their request of services, goods, anything that you can think of.   GLI:N made 5 deals today. GLI:N offered workshops for children to make handmade , natural Christmas Presents, also to pamper two handicapped ladies with natural cosmetic products. A judo club recently flooded, will benefit from the chemical free cleaning knowledge of GLI:N. In return, they offer their network to spread the GLI:N love in this regio. At the...
GLI:N Weekend Round Up: Rotterdam & V I P GLI:N Workshop

GLI:N Weekend Round Up: Rotterdam & V I P GLI:N Workshop

This Sunday GLI:N had its first workshop in Rotterdam.  GLI:N Workshop location in Rotterdam I am always a bit more excited when I start at a new place. Not only the practical things, like do I find a good parking spot, did I check all the necessary equipment at the hosting place but also because the atmosphere of the place.  I love to feel home where GLI:N takes place. Each time, it reflects me a bit, too. I could not find a better place than Alice in Cakeland in Rotterdam. It is girly, like me. They are selling the best cupcakes in town. I am not joking ! Come and try yourself. I promise you won’t be disappointed. The owner is a sweet mother and has eyes for details. Every time when GLI:N is there, we can enjoy her sweet creations. I love it. This is the personal touch of a local business owner that makes the difference.  GLI:N Natural Soap Making Workshop I more and more experience that the Glinies who join the workshops are close to me. We think similarly about the importance of our family`s health, mentally, physically and emotionally as well. This gives a solid ground to develop their own personalized GLI:N natural products at the workshop. It is so nice to see that they listen to their instinct about choosing the right essential oils for them. If I need to say only two words about how I feel on the GLI:N Workshop, I would probably tell: Green Spirit. Green spirit which means, that we care about us, our family, our friends, our closest surroundings and also...

GLI:N Weekend Round up: video shooting and biological soap making workshop in Alkmaar

GLI:N Weekend Round up: video shooting and biological soap making workshop in Alkmaar

Hello Glinies,  Back to basics, here is my last weekend’s short overview. I had a fantastic day on Sunday. It was special for several reasons. push the red button in action First of all, it was my first video shooting for GLI:N. wow…I decided to create a one minute long, short but talkative shot about GLI:N: GLI:N at a glance. The preparation got me busy all week long. I planned certain things that were ready on time, and of course, I had things that I could not manage on time, just like nice, green aprons with the GLI:N logo on. Yes, it was my fault. I started to organize it too late.  For 7, long  days, I had been breathing GLI:N in, and out.  I practised my text in front of the mirror in the morning and in the evening. We spent our evenings with my husband on the couch together, as usual. But this time I was repeating my short text 10 times before I got my good night kiss. I even recorded on my phone to see how it would look and sound like…bad idea….after that I got nervous.  -Have you ever watched yourself back?  In the past, I gave speeches for small and bigger audience. I knew how it felt. I knew practice helps a lot.  Still, this time it was for my OWN business.  This time I was the one, who set the standard high.  I wanted to do my ever best.  HAL72 The day came.  I was surrounded with really good people.  While we were setting up the decoration, I got relaxed. They were all...
GLI:N Weekend Round Up: From ZERO PLASTIC WEEK challenge to SUMMER POP UP BOUTIQUE

GLI:N Weekend Round Up: From ZERO PLASTIC WEEK challenge to SUMMER POP UP BOUTIQUE

As you all noticed this week I joined a thousand of other people virtually with one goal: -We wanted to live without new plastic consumption for a week. You could follow my journey along the way every day here.  Honestly, I did not know what to expect from this week. I must say, it was not easy even I had unexpected stress due to the fact that EVERYTHING  but literately everything is packed in plastic.  I learnt a lot. I love the way how this experience changed me.  I had already a strong believe in living with less chemicals around us, but during this week,  I found new GLI:N goals: I want to reduce the plastic packaging usage when it comes to GLI:N products.  I will try to replace as much as possible, even the tools that we are using and the packaging materials as well. It will be a long but a really interesting journey , I believe.   This week, I got also fantastic news. I could join a super SUMMER Pop Up Boutique in Amsterdam next Sunday. Yuppie Oh, I had 7 days left for all the preparation…ohhh…   So now with full of enthusiasm I am working on this project. I have certainly good ideas that I will share with you in the coming days. You will benefit from this plastic packing reduction already next Sunday , if you join us. I will announce the details soon. Do not forget to check our page here for the news. Have a GLI:N week...
GLI:N Weekend Round Up

GLI:N Weekend Round Up

3 weeks left and our summer holiday will start. On the one hand, I cannot wait to have this holiday because I did not visit my home country in the last 6 months. We usually had the luck that we could go every 3-4 months to Hungary, especially in the last years when we decided to live a slow family life. I had less tight schedule which allowed us to travel back more often. In this last 6 months I was planning, preparing and started GLI:N. On the other hand, because of GLI:N I know that this coming 3 weeks will be full of exciting, new things, actions, connections. So cannot wait to jump into. But I do not want to run ahead of time ,so let go through together of this last week. Again , my angels were with me when I found a wonder in the middle of the forest next to the sea side up north in the Netherlands. It is a special space. It is special not only because of the perfect geographical location but also the spirit that filled the air around. This collaboration has a pre-baby status so I cannot say more about it, but I can tell you, Glinies, I am hooked. Probably you will be hooked as well, once we meet there and share our green love surrounded by those trees, stones ans spirits. So this week again I have planted a new seed that is full of potential for the future.   Another important step that I did is that I joined to a fantastic initiative: ZERO PLASTIC WEEK Yes,...
GLI:N Weekend Round Up

GLI:N Weekend Round Up

This weekend was still for the family. We got finally the last work done in our home where we moved 9 months ago. It was time to paint the living room. Oh my god, I cannot believe that we waited so long. At least now the summer lights are dancing on clean white walls in the mornings. I love it.  It also gave me the opportunity to have a thorough cleaning there. I was so pleased with the power of the GLI:N all purpose cleaning detergent. I had an easy time with using this on every kind of surface: tiles, wood, glass and also against different sort of dirt: paint, grease, dirt, etc.  On Saturday we visited a special event, ecodorp bergen not far from our home. It is an old airport which has a second, green life. Some people have decided to live there, (re)-use the ground and nature in a more conscious, green way. We enjoyed a theater play for children there. It was so much fun. On Sunday I could meet with some friends , chit-chat and make them happy with GLI:N products. I just love to see, when these clean, simple but efficient GLI:N products make people happy. I always give a little piece of me every time.  Oh and finally, this week we will have the last soap making workshop before the holiday starts in Amsterdam. So make sure that you do not miss it. You can reserve your spot here. On 15th of June, you can attend on the Eco wash workshop. Check it out there. After these events GLI:N goes on holiday....
GLI:N Weekend Round Up: Garage Sale

GLI:N Weekend Round Up: Garage Sale

We are working hard behind the screens on new, exciting things that I cannot tell you now. After the summer holiday you all will benefit from our efforts, I promise. Until that, I had a great, intensive, loving family weekend with my sister from Hungary and her son together. My son and his nephew are like brothers. They do not see each other more than 10 days per year physically but the wonder of “blood ties”  is that they love each other so much as if  they lived next door. Also trust and appreciation are strongly felt there when they are together. They have such an emotionally  intensive time together, that they end up sleeping out of the blue on the beach for instance.   I wish we could live next to each other. But this weekend I had another great social time in front of our house, too. It was a Garage Sale organized by the small local (buurt) community. First I did not want to attend due to my family visit, but around 11.00 o` clock when we turned back from our walk from the cows, and I have seen lots of people passing by, I decided to make a little local advertisement for GLI:N with flyers and free giveaways. I must say, I am really pleased with my neighbors. I feel, they accepted us and share their lives and pleasure with us. It is actually the first time for 9 years that I have been living abroad, that I have such good connections. I find it really valuable. It feels a bit like “home”. So in this...
